Dispositional Outcomes: The different ways a Juvenile case can resolve
After a youth has admitted a charge or a juvenile court has found the charge to be true (i.e., “sustaining” the charge at the adjudication phase), then the juvenile court judge must determine what the appropriate consequence will be.
This consequence is called the “disposition.”

- Out of Home Placements
- Extended Foster Care (EFC)
- Ranch
- Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
- Programming at Juvenile Hall, the Ranch, or DJJ
